Project Background
The plumbing and valve industry is a pillar industry of Yuhuan City and a leading sector driving export revenue. Last year, enterprises in the industry purchased over RMB 25 billion worth of copper bars from outside the region, and foreign-trade exports from the sector have accounted for over half of the city's total export value for more than a decade. In 2019, the output value of Yuhuan's plumbing and valve industry reached nearly RMB 35 billion. The town hosts more than 900 valve-processing enterprises, including over 850 micro and small businesses. However, in the past decade, the industry has encountered significant bottlenecks. Most enterprises face challenges such as: difficulty in expanding sales channels, high costs of digital transformation, and limited control over the industrial supply chain.
To overcome these constraints and achieve rapid development, the traditional valve industry must undergo transformation and upgrading. In response, Yuhuan partnered with Morewis to introduce innovative industrial resources and build the Plumbing & Valve Industrial-Complex Industrial Internet Platform, establishing a digital information system for the industry, accelerating integrated reforms, and effectively driving the optimization and upgrading of the traditional valve sector.
