Project Background
Copper is one of Jiangxi Province's strongest traditional industries, ranking among the leading clusters in China and holding significant global influence. Yingtan—known as the "World Copper Capital"—is a city that grew and prospered because of copper. As the industry continues to evolve, the local copper sector now faces several challenges:
- Homogeneous "regional-economy" development across the copper industry, with disorderly copper processing and recycled-copper operations.
- Numerous small and medium-sized copper enterprises with limited scale and low maturity—80% of them operating extensive, low-tech production models dominated by traditional contract manufacturing.
- Weak product R&D capabilities, insufficient manufacturing capacity, low technological sophistication, lack of high-end talent, and inadequate intelligent-manufacturing and technological-innovation capabilities.
To improve the current situation and promote development, the Yingtan High-tech Industrial Development Zone partnered with Morewis to enhance enterprise informatization and build digital factories, creating a digital-ecosystem model that drives high-quality, cross-domain industrial growth.
